On a large tract of land in very rural northern Indiana, a campus is beginning to take shape.  Eventually, 160 to200 primates, baboons and macaques, will retire to this sanctuary for the final years of their lives.   The project has been quite a sojourn for SRKM architecture, beginning more than three years ago.  The animals will come from research institutions, zoos, private owners, even the circus!  The buildings will be powered with solar panels and will include emergency back-up power generation. I am glad to know there are organizations in this world dedicated to such a cause.Rhesus_Macaques
